DRL All-In challenge Fanatics

The Drone Racing League (DRL) has gone All-In. It’s joined Fanatics’ All-In Challenge, which raises money through auctions and sweepstakes to support food aid programs for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The All-In Challenge allows people to go into the running to win some one-of-a-kind prizes and experiences—from a custom-built racing drone to running a lemonade stand with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

How to use Drone Racing League Simulator on your iPad

If you own a recent-model Mac and iPad, you can now use the iPad as a portable, secondary display for your computer using a feature called Sidecar. This is a great way to use software, such as a drone simulator, on an iPad, even if there isn’t a mobile version of the program. Here’s how I used Sidecar to get my favorite simulator, DRL Sim for Mac, running on an iPad.

DRL takes drone racing autonomous with its RacerAI

The Drone Racing League has once again stepped ahead of the competition with its new RacerAI autonomous racing drones in partnership with Lockheed Martin. The new RacerAI removes the need for any pilot, is capable of producing 20 pounds of thrust and is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, a similar AI platform to the one found in the Skydio 2.

GoDronex brings FPV racing to high school students

Drone racing has been a growing sport over the last few years and you can find thrilling championship races televised on ESPN. Did you know that it also is a high school varsity sport? The GoDroneX Chicagoland Championships just crowned a handful of New Trier students champions in its third season. There are races for both varsity and junior varsity students so they can compete at different levels of complexity.
