After a bit of testing, it appears that the Tiffen DJI Mavic Mini ND filters work with the newly released DJI Mini 2, thanks to the camera’s design being basically the same. Tiffen doesn’t currently have any filters for the DJI Mini 2, but these should work just fine anyway.

As an early drone adopter, my heart broke often. It’s no secret that DJI has been spinning up an all-new Mavic Mini 2 this year after the successful launch of their cheapest drone in 2019. Now DroneDJ has a solid preview of how much you should expect to pay for the successor to the affordable everyday flycam. DJI’s Mavic Mini 2 appears to cost a little more than the original, but the upgraded hardware will still be competitive with mid-range model prices.

According to a Chinese website, the latest DJI Fly app update has improved the range of the smaller Mavic Mini drone by almost double. The official release notes from DJI don’t say anything about the improved range.

That corner of the internet where all the drone geeks hang out is going bananas today. There’s been an abundance of DJI news. In the latest twist, we have word from a Russian website that the Mini will jump from 2.7k video to 4k in the next generation.

There’s a lot of speculation today that DJI may be gearing up for a Mavic Mini 2. There’s a relevant patent, and some other pretty convincing evidence to back up the theory — even an official but blurry look at the new drone.

When ND filters were first released for the DJI Mavic Mini, they didn’t have much use as the DJI Fly app didn’t let you change the shutter speed when capturing video, meaning the drone would automatically change the settings. Not too long ago, we got our hands on images of what looks like to be DJI’s replacement for the DJI Mavic Air, the new DJI Mavic. The new Mavic looks like it will closely follow the design of its bigger brother, the Mavic 2 series, with almost identical positioning of certain features.
