Australian drone delivery company Swoop Aero has signed a deal with TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacies in Goondiwindi, Queensland, to deliver medicine to customers within a 130-kilometer (80-mile) radius. The drones are expected to hit the skies in May.

The company will use its newly found capital to boosts its efforts and reach its goal of helping 100 million people have access to better healthcare by 2025 using its delivery drones.
Swoop Aero has increased its drone fleet size by 300% in Malawi as a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The increase in the number of drones will allow for 150 flights per day to be conducted if required. The drones will be used to distribute COVID-19 medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Australian drone delivery company Swoop Aero is looking to transport COVID-19 test kits around Australia to reduce the need for human interaction during this time. Swoop Aero is working with the federal government and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to get the drones off the ground.
