Transport Canada has accepted the documentation surrounding the Quantix Mapper Vertical Take-off and Landing aircraft (VTOL). Draganfly’s “Pandemic Drone” will complete its first few test flights in the coming days with Westport Police Department in Connecticut. This is a key part of the Flatten the Curve Pilot Program created by Draganfly, healthcare data service Vital Intelligence, and the University of South Australia (UniSA).
Canadian drone maker Draganfly is collaborating with the Australian Department of Defense and the University of South Australia to tackle the coronavirus. Its new “pandemic” drone will be part of a camera system to spot signs of illness, such as coughing and elevated temperatures.
There are thousands of drone-related companies in the world, but a majority of them didn’t have any firsts, Draganfly is one of the companies that do. Draganfly was the first company to commercialize the drone along with a few other firsts we learned while interviewing the Chairman and CEO Cameron Chell of Draganfly.
