DJI partners with Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy for drone course

DJI partners with Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy to help future architects and engineers. Mostly the DJI Inspire 2 and Phantom 4 Pro are being used during this drone course because of their mapping abilities. Since drones have become more popular, we have seen many universities and colleges around the world launch drone courses, including one in Florida. DJI released a video of the Italian university in their latest ‘DJI Stories’ series on YouTube.

Here’s what DJI has to say about the video:

“In collaboration with DJI, the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, is using drones to help future architects and engineering students develop new skills in their respective fields.

This initiative was led by two professors of geomatics: Prof. Andrea Maria Lingua and Prof. Filiberto Chibrando.

The program particularly uses drones such as the Inspire 2 and Phantom 4 Pro, among others, for their mapping abilities.”

As we reported earlier, at least 6 colleges, including the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Kansas State University, the University of North Dakota and Lewis University in Illinois have started offering degrees in drones. Including the Pasco-Hernando State College located in Pasco County, Florida is offering a brand new degree for drone pilots looking to turn their hobby into a profession.

Furthermore, 23 schools in the US, Canada, and the UK have partnered with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to start drone-based research programs.
