DJI Mavic 2 Zoom: tips for cinematic drone footage

The DJI Mavic 2 Zoom features a brand new camera that is able to optically zoom between 24-48mm opening the door for a wide variety of brand new aerial shots. This zoom feature produces lossless quality. This is a major plus for video creators who want to save every pixel in their footage.

A revolutionary camera

After flying this drone for about 2 weeks, I have really enjoyed shooting with it. The camera essentially features the same specs as the original Mavic Pro released two years ago. However, it’s a brand new experience being able to fly with a camera that can zoom in 2x. For one, the flight experience of the drone itself is changed when fully zoomed in which makes it harder to fly FPV. Another difference is the shot selection, so many new opportunities are now at pilots’ fingertips. To help you get started, here are some tips for achieving cinematic footage with your DJI Mavic 2 Zoom.
