Good morning, hope everybody is well today. Yesterday I had the chance to meet up with Wiebe de Jager from the Dutch website DroneWatch.nl here in Noordwijk, which was both fun and informative. Wiebe is an expert on drone regulation in The Netherlands and many other EU countries. Furthermore, here are the headlines from yesterday and an interesting drone video from Autel Robotics warning about an avalanche in the summer… I think they might be referring to an avalanche of orders for DJI’s new product as soon as it’s released on July 18th! ;-)
Yesterday’s headlines
- Amazon files patent to protect their delivery drones from hijackers
- Drone fishermen are catching massive sharks by getting the bait as far as 1,000 feet away from the beach
- An Airbus 320 carrying 230 passengers came within 10ft of hitting a drone after taking off at Luton Airport
- NASA to study Venus’ atmosphere with drones made by Colorado-based company
Today’s video
Today’s video is from Autel Robotics and it is aptly called “Avalanche Warning,” which might point to the avalanche of new drones that will be sold by DJI as soon as their new product is introduced on July 18th. Autel’s video does not give us much information about the location of the video. It only says at the beginning of the video that the footage was shot in 4K @ 60fps presumably with an Autel Evo drone. Anyway, the footage is quite nice. Check it out below.
