Good morning, Here are yesterday’s headlines in case you missed them. We have a very interesting letter from Connecticut Senator, Chris Murphy requesting the Department of Defense to stop using and stop buying DJI drones. We’ve already reached out to the DoD for confirmation and have also submitted official requests for information through the Freedom of Information Act. To be continued. Furthermore, we have new drone rules coming in England and an update for the Skydio R1 drone that we will be testing today. It now has a Car Follow mode. Let’s see if it can follow the Tesla Model 3, I’m borrowing. Exciting stuff! So, with that, grab a coffee and jump in!
- New laws are coming to UK drone pilots. The long-awaited Drones Bill is still in limbo, however.
- Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy asks the Department of Defense to cut ties with DJI in favor of domestic drone manufacturers
- Big day at Skydio! Software update for R1 drone adds Car Follow Feature and more
Today’s video is from DroneFanatic and shows the two Japanese cities; Tokyo and Yokohama. The footage was captured with a DJI Phantom 3 Pro and edited in Final Cut Pro X. Enjoy!
