Drone saves marriage and Donna moves back in with John

Chances are you have seen this video: “Drone used to catch cheating wife” as it has been watched nearly 14 million times on YouTube. The video shows John’s wife of 18 years, Donna leaving home to go to work. However, she doesn’t go to her office, instead, she meets and kisses some other guy in an SUV at the CVS parking lot. John, a professional photographer from Honesdale, Pa., suspected his wife was up to something and decided to follow her with his drone. He captured the whole episode on video and later on shared it on YouTube, where it became a viral sensation.

Drone ends marriage and saves it

Now, almost exactly one year later, Donna is moving back in with John.

“Eighteen years is a long time, which is why I was so angry,” he told Inside Edition. “Why is she doing this? Why is she doing this to us?”

Donna has never spoken publicly about it but now breaks her silence to Inside Edition.

“I was shocked,” his wife Donna said. “I know he has a drone. I never thought it would be used against me.” She said she only met the man a few times and “was becoming friendly with someone I probably shouldn’t have.”

When John confronted his wife with the video, Donna explained that it was just flirting that would not have developed into anything more serious. John had a hard time believing her.

“She was crying her eyes out and I’m yelling, ‘You don’t get to cry. Why are you crying? I’m the one that should be crying,'” he recalled.

Donna is moving back in

Donna moved out and as far as John was concerned the marriage was over. Now one year later the couple is trying to repair their relationship and give their marriage a second chance.

“I’m looking at an empty spot on the couch and I’m thinking, ‘I miss her, I really, really miss her,’” he recalled. “So I feel like I can give her another chance, give us another chance.”

John asked Donna to move back in last week. He said it was actually the drone that saved their marriage by stopping Donna’s secret relationship before it got serious. John said:

“If I hadn’t sent that drone up, I believe things would have gotten more intimate,” he claims. “None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes, doesn’t mean it has to be the end of everything. People do deserve second chances.”
