Local get introduced to drones on Drone Discovery Day

Local drone pilots in Albuquerque showed off their drones and their drone capabilities at a local Drone Discovery Day event. The free event was organized by drone company Colibri in partnership with the Balloon Museum, demonstrating the ins and outs of the various drones that are currently available.

The event organizers said that they encounter a lot of negative public perceptions about drones and they wanted to show that there is also a positive side to drones.

“The purpose of today is to show folks that drones are not something to fear, but are really going to be a part of daily life coming up soon,” said Colibri’s Jesse Sansom to the local newschannel KRQE News 13.

For instance drones can send cameras into places where you would otherwise not be able to go. And of course, you can also race drones. The Drone Discovery Day event organizers were hopeful that one day they will have a drone park where you can safely race and experiment with your drone.
